ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the Council agenda process including compiling, preparing and distributing agenda packets; timely posting of public notices; coordinate joint meetings; staff training; and attend evening meetings as needed
Provide administrative support for the Hearing Examiner process, and attend evening meetings as needed
Codify ordinances into the Redmond Municipal Code (RMC); review and finalize supplements; maintain code book and distribution listings; and finalize ordinances and resolutions
Receive and record construction bids and assist with the routing and indexing of contracts
Create and provide documentation for Boards and Commissions onboarding and tracking
Research and respond to inquiries regarding legislation, records, Code provisions and State laws and provide notary services to the public and internal staff
Manage the Clerk's Office mail, e-mail, incoming phone calls, and update and maintain the City Clerk and City Council web pages
Perform the duties of City Clerk in his/her absence or as requested and serve as backup to others within the Clerk's Office (Administrative Assistant, Public Records Disclosure Program Coordinator, and Records Management Program Coordinator)
Equivalent to an Associate's Degree and two years of administrative experience in a legal or municipal setting
Currently are licensed as a WA Notary Public or able to obtain license within six months of employment
Prefer candidates have a Municipal Clerk (CMC) and/or Public Records Officer certifications
Prefer experience with parliamentary procedure and records management
This position is currently covered by a collective bargaining agreement
