The City of Redmond is seeking a high level Program Coordinator (Records Management Coordinator) to develop, implement, and maintain, a program for Records and Enterprise Content Management for the City. This is not a Public Records Disclosure position, although the successful candidate may assist in that process as needed. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented, records and technology savvy individual with project management/coordination experience. This position will be the City's go-to expert in records and enterprise content management, and will ensure compliance with City Code, State, and Federal laws and regulations. The Program Coordinator will work closely with City employees to provide advice and direction regarding records classifications and retention standards, use of an electronic records and enterprise content management system, policies, and procedures.Responsibilities will include:•Main point of contact with responsibility for the ongoing assessment, design, maintenance and evaluation of the City's records and information management program including, but not limited to: creating and maintaining security and access controls, retention schedules, and classification plans; developing action tracking and workflows; and collecting data.•Lead the development, implementation, administration, testing and evaluation of the City's electronic records and enterprise content management system. •Participate in the records and enterprise content management contracting process, including review and evaluate contracts; assist with developing requests for proposals; and participate in vendor negotiation and selection processes.•Participate in meetings, training opportunities, and professional organizations.•Monitor and coordinate financial-related functions of the records division; prepare the draft biennial records division budget in coordination with the City Clerk.•Supervise the storage of citywide physical, electronic (including email), and microfilm records, and the off-site record storage centers.•Research and apply all applicable rules, regulations, and standards concerning records and information management for the State of Washington.•Serve as the City's technical records expert, providing training and instruction to employees on proper records management.Education and Experience:•Associate's degree.•Two years of progressively responsible experience in records and information management.•Equivalent combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.•Bachelor's degree in business administration, records and information management, or related field preferred.•Public sector experience preferred.•Budget preparation and management experience preferred.Licenses and Certificates:•Valid driver's license, with the ability to obtain a Washington State license within three months of hire date.•Notary Public Commission from the State of Washington or ability to obtain within six months of hire date.•ARMA Records and Information Management Certificate, or ability to obtain within one year of hire date.•Certified Public Records Officer Certificate through the Washington Public Records Officers' Association, or ability to obtain within two years of hire date.•Certified Records Manager (CRM) or similar industry recognized credential is preferred.Selection Process: Please apply at www.redmond.gov.
